Department

The Information Technology Services (ITS) department is responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, security, and performance of our bank's IT infrastructure, applications, and enduser systems. Operating 24/7, we are dedicated to guaranteeing worldwide production stability and availability.

We play a leading role in shaping the IT strategy for the APAC and Middle East regions, while also providing expert technical support to other regions. Our services extend to international sites, where we offer Level 4 support, including support to the Americas.

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Engineering Intern to join our AI transversal team within ITS. You will play a key role in a dedicated AI team within the Infrastructure department focusing on identifying, onboarding, and deploying AI use cases across the ITS department of the bank.

As an AI Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience designing and implementing on-premise AI solutions in an enterprise environment. You will work with architects, engineers, and functional experts to:

  • Experiment with and evaluate AI tools and technologies.
  • Build and refine prototypes that can evolve into production-ready solutions.
  • Contribute to shared components and platforms supporting multiple use cases.

 

You will be involved in our accelerated AI workstreams and exposed to:

  • Prototype development and experimentation.
  • Monitoring and observability for AI workloads (GPU optimization through NVIDIA Run:AI).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices to streamline deployment.
  • LLMaaS solutions deployment.

 

The internship is primarily engineering-focused, emphasizing software engineering best practices and integration into existing IT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • As part of your main responsibility, you will assume a junior role in the software development and maintainenance of AI-powered applications. These may include chatbots, intelligent assistants, and automation tools.
  • Contribute to evaluating, benchmarking and/or testing of models including consolidating and summarizing test results, and referencing back to business requirements.
  • Provide operational support and facilitate team coordination to enhance project efficiency and deliverables.
  • Implementing quality-of-life enhancements to improve the overall user experience (UX) of our AI solutions.

 

Qualifications and Profile

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Programming:

-          Proficiency in Python programming languages.

-          Web development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript, React or Django framework)

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with data engineering (PostgresSQL, MYSQL).
  • 1st Bonus point: Experience developing and deploying scalable AI applications is a bonus.
  • 2nd Bonus point: Experience in strategizing AI roadmap/projects.
  • Comfortable working in command line within Unix/Windows environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, & curious.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a global, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.

 

The scope will be adapted depending on the situation and the progress of the trainee.
